When buying a property in Spain, the purchase is not signed at a solicitor’s office but instead it is signed in front of a Notary that witnesses and protocolises the private contract. Without that, the purchase has no validity and the property cannot be registered under the buyer´s name without it.

After the Deed is signed before the Notary, we will deal with the payment of taxes,  take the Deed to the Land Registry to be registered under your name if you are the buyer of the property in Spain. Afterwards, we will contract and arrange the direct debit of all the essential services,such as water, electricity and council taxes under your name, will provide you with copies of any relevant documents, and explain all your liabilities as a new foreign owner of a property in Spain.
